Chief Design Officer and Founder
Solveiga is the inventor of Bump. Her background is in industrial design, specialising in human-centred and inclusive design.
Laurence Kayson
Chief Executive Officer and Founder
For over 25 years, Laurence has held director and CEO roles for several successful business start-ups and product/brand launches, specialising in innovation for the world’s leading retailers and their supply chains.
Lawrie Matthews
Chief Technology & Financial Officer and Founder
Previously COO & CTO of It’s Fresh! where he led the development and scale-up of the technology to greater than a billion units capacity in the US alone, as well as setting up the global supply chain.
Giorgia Raci
Technical Development Manager
Giorgia, our food scientist, leads the activities across our two labs. Her background before joining Mimica was in food quality control and she is currently a PhD candidate for her research on the science behind Mimica.
Jonny Marchbank
Product Design Engineer
Jonny brings 16 years of experience in research, design and development in hardware and new technology, holding over 50 patents. At Mimica, he manages our suppliers and manufacturing partners, leads risk mitigation and drives design engineering for our latest innovations.
Ian Burdett
Assembly Technician
Ian is an experienced mechanical engineer with a diverse career across various industries and trade sectors. His expertise includes hands-on technical work, research and development, quality control, and effective management.
Jessica Katz
Business Relationship Manager
Jessica has a Masters in Environment, Politics and Society from UCL where she wrote a thesis on household food waste. She manages our investor relations, capital fundraising and the full recruitment cycle.
Grace Aleman
Finance and Administrations Manager
With a strong background in bookkeeping and small business management, Grace supports Mimica's accounts and finances.
Christopher Wakley
Fractional Finance Director
Christopher provides strategic and technical financial guidance to the management team, given his extensive experience as a CFO and Chartered Accountant. He is also the CFO of tech startup, PostTag.
Ieva Hofmane
Communications Manager
Ieva leads Mimica’s brand communications, combining her background in design with over four years of communications leadership in the impact startup space.
Matty Brookes
Trial Delivery Manager
Matty is a Project Manager and Data Analyst who has delivered projects across several industries in the UK, and now uses this expertise to lead and deliver Mimica's customer trials.
