Communications & Graphics internship
Mimica is looking for someone to support our brand storytelling, amplify our key messages and news and help us pioneer our waste reduction products into the food industry.

About us
At Mimica, we’re developing an award-winning label, called Bump, that tells you exactly when food spoils, based on storage conditions. Our mission is to radically reduce unnecessary food waste caused by the current expiry date system. We have launched our first product, the Bump Cap, and are in the customer trialling stage of our Bump Tag product.
You
This is ideal for someone with a background in graphic design or marketing.
We’re looking for somebody passionate about sustainability, making a difference to food waste and who wants to be part of a fast-paced tight-knit startup culture.
You should have an eye for design, excellent attention to detail, be skilled in using Canva or the Adobe Suite, and be comfortable about self-managing and taking on a broad range of tasks. You must have an excellent level of spoken and written English to perform this role.
Some of your activities may include:
Creative brainstorming of content ideas that will help tell the Mimica story
Researching for and planning content that is relevant for our followers across our social media channels
Creating visual content to accompany text using canva.com or the Adobe suite.
Trimming our video content into shareable soundbites and adding subtitles
Scheduling posts
Tracking analytics to inform how to make better performing content in future
Engaging with our followers and responding to comments and questions
Posting updates on the Mimica website
Keeping our media kit for journalists up to date
Representing Mimica at conferences, exhibitions and networking events
Reward
The innovation internship is financially supported based on your affiliation programme:
EIC Pathfinder researchers will be funded by the Pathfinder grant (plus a mobility allowance for 3 months maximum);
ERC researchers involved in funded projects will receive a flat monthly reimbursement by InnoNext for 3 months maximum.
EIT participants will receive a flat monthly reimbursement by InnoNext for 6 months maximum, subject to availability of funds
MSCA, HE Research Infrastructures and EIC Transition participants will be covered by their respective programmes, under specific agreement.

Place of work
This position can be remote or hybrid - you are free to work from any country as long as you align with the UK time zone. Our commercial team is based in London.
