Business Admin Assistant

We are looking for detail-orientated and brilliant assistant to join our startup.

About us

At Mimica, we’re developing an active food packaging solution called Mimica Touch, that is able to indicate exactly when food expires. We are driven by reducing food waste and improving food safety for everyone and and are looking for an assistant to help us with business administration tasks.


We’re looking for somebody passionate about sustainability and making a difference to food waste reduction and who is excited by the idea of working in a startup company. You should have excellent attention to detail, always be punctual and be open to taking on a broad range of tasks.

Some of your activities may include:

  • Running company social media accounts

  • Keeping the website up to date

  • Creating and distributing newsletters

  • Preparing financial or trend reports

  • Outreach to potential suppliers

  • Filing expenses and bank reconciliation

  • Arranging travel

  • Calendar management

  • Any other reasonable tasks within the scope of this role


We think that this role would be suitable for somebody with a degree or equivalent experience but please get in touch if you come from a different background and are interested in helping a startup business grow.

Work hours

We know that a full-time role doesn’t suit everybody and so work hours are very flexible. We suggest 10am-3pm Monday-Thursday but we’d be delighted to work on something that fits you and the company.


We are based in Shoreditch in London in a startup hub called Rise. It is a short walk away from Old Street, Liverpool Street and Shoreditch High Street stations.
